The Department of Education-Central Office (DepEd-CO), in partnership with TUV NORD Philippines, celebrated a significant milestone on April 26 by holding a ceremony honoring 15 Regional Offices for achieving the ISO 9001:2015 Certification. The event, aptly titled "Yugto: Simula sa Pagpapatuloy," took place at the Sequoia Hotel in Parañaque City.
The ISO 9001:2015 Certification is a globally recognized standard that demonstrates an organization's commitment to quality management and continuous improvement. During the ceremony, Undersecretary Revsee Escobedo of the Office of Governance and Field Operations emphasized the importance of the certification in fostering trust and reliability within the education sector. He stated, “Achieving ISO certification not only reflects our dedication to quality service but also builds confidence among our stakeholders that we are committed to delivering excellent educational services.”
The regional offices recognized during the event have implemented various quality management practices that align with the ISO standards, enhancing their operational efficiency and effectiveness in delivering educational programs and services. The ceremony served not only as a recognition of their achievements but also as an inspiration for continuous improvement in the education system.
Usec.
